A pair of Meissen deep square dishes and three soup plates, circa 1745-50,

Each moulded with a basketwork border to the gilt-edged rim (Altozier) and painted with a vignette of birds perched on a branch or on the ground, and scattered insects, butterflies and beetles; together with another Meissen soup plate, 19th century, similarly decorated, the dishes: 22cm across; the soup plates: 22.5cm diam., crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue, impressed numerals (very minor wear) (6)
