Three Meissen teacups and saucers, mid 18th century

Painted with elegant figures in landscape settings enclosed by gilt Baroque scrollwork cartouches edged with purple scrollwork and trellis panels, gilt scroll- and strapwork borders to the rims, the teacups with a circular landscape scene within iron-red concentric circles to the inside, the handles gilt, the cups: 4.3cm high; the saucers: 12cm diam., crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue, gilt numeral 51., impressed 2 to the saucers (slight wear) (6)
