A Meissen hexagonal tea canister and cover, circa 1723-24

Of baluster form, each facet painted with a Chinoiserie figure flanked by flowers and with insects overhead, gilt-edged rims, the cover with a gilt scrollwork band enclosing Böttger lustre on the top, 10cm high, gilt numeral 65. to both (rim chip to cover, some wear to gilding on cover and top of canister) (2)
