A George III silver salver

maker's mark I C with pellet between, possibly John Carter, London 1770
Shaped-circular form, the bead rim interspersed with small leaf and scroll motifs, with a chased husk border below further interspersed with flower heads, centred with an engraved armorial, the whole on four ball and claw feet, diameter 41.5cm, weight 64oz.
