A Napoleon III porcelain and ormolu mounted tulipwood gueridon

Circa 1860
Mounted with floral painted Sevres style porcelain plaques, the oval quarter veneered top with projecting eared angles, inset with a central shaped oval dish decorated with assorted flowers and exotic birds within one large and four smaller gilt-adorned berried foliate surrounds, above a pierced tasselled drapery-swagged and floral mounted apron, on four elongated C-shaped square section supports terminating in foliate headed hoof sabots, with an oval undertier, on a shaped concave quadripartite and quarter veneered plinth base, the top: 50cm x 43cm; 74cm high.
