After the antique, probably 17th/18th century
The sitter modelled full face with curling beard and wavy short hair, his shoulders clad in drapery secured with a circular pin and a ceremonial sash, raised on a rectangular plinth inset with oval porphyry panels on a moulded square foot, the marble surface now weathered, the bust, 46cm high, the pedestal, 38cm high, 61.5cm high overall
