An Italian patinated bronze mask depicting the head of Medusa

After the antique, probably 19th century
Modelled full face with vacant eyes, a pair of entwined serpents below her chin, her wavy hair surmounted by a pair of wings, the whole with verdigris patination, raised on a later black painted metal pedestal stand and integral square footed base, 32cm high, 35.5cm wide overall
