A very rare .22 (L.R.) 'Mark IV' revolver by Webley, no. 41687

With best blued receiver, the barrel engraved 'Webley & Scott Ltd. Birmingham', the right side engraved with the maker's 'Winged Bullet' trademark, the butt with lanyard-ring and two-piece chequered vulcanite grips
Weight 1lb. 14oz., 5in. barrel, Birmingham nitro proof

This revolver is one of two known surviving examples of 22 made. It was used to win the Trafalgar prize for the .22 'open class' Historic Revolver Advancing Target competition with a score of 96x105 at the Trafalgar meeting, Bisley held between 20 and 21 October 1997, the last major classic pistol competition before competitive cartridge pistol shooting ceased in Britain

This revolver can be held under s.7.3 Heritage Pistols in the U.K.
