A .376 (90-Bore) Percussion Sporting Rifle For 'Imperial Caps'

With browned etched damascus twist octagonal sighted barrel signed in full along the top flat and rifled with nine spiral grooves, foliate engraved breech (nipple replaced for conventional percussion caps) inscribed 'Smith's Patent' and with platinum plug, case-hardened foliate scroll engraved tang, signed border engraved serial numbered detented rounded lock decorated with foliate scrollwork, hammer engraved with a scaled design and with detachable nose, highly figured half-stock (some old bruising, fore-end repaired along both upper edges) with chequered grip and dark horn fore-end cap, border engraved blued steel mounts comprising butt-plate serial numbered and decorated with foliage along the heel tang, trigger-guard decorated en suite, trigger-plate with foliate scroll engraved pointed finial, vacant silver escutcheon and replacement barrel-bolt escutcheons (barrel-bolt replaced), sling mounts, original horn-tipped ramrod, and some original finish, London proof marks
