A Group Of Various Edged Weapons
The First Mid-19th Century

Comprising an 1847 pattern Brunswick sword bayonet of characteristic form, the leaf-shaped blade with central fuller on each side at the forte, one side stamped 'Enfield' and with crowned 'VR', and ribbed brass grip incised 'B' over '44', and with lobed quillons; a Finnish M39 pattern bayonet, stamped with manufacturer's details on one side of the forte, in its green leather sheath; a blackened F-S fighting knife, in its leather scabbard with blackened chape; a Victorian hunting knife, the blade (some pitting) stamped 'G. & J.W. Hawksley, Sheffield' on one side of the ricasso, white-metal flat ovoidal ground, and natural staghorn grips, in a leather scabbard; an all-steel three-bladed clasp knife decorated with wrigglework and retaining traces of blueing, probably Indian; a modern sheath-knife by Hitchmough, London; a cut-away demonstration Mills grenade; a hardwood truncheon; and two other items (10)
