The present watch is another example of creative and complex watch from the master watch maker Christophe Claret, inspired by the popular casino games. His watch creation - Poker - contains two casino games: poker and roulette. Although, the Poker debuted after the BlackJack and Bacarra, it was intended to be the first release out of the three, however the complexity to re-create the game of Texas Hold'em on a watch was so confounding that no technical solution could be found at the time of the initial prototype was built.
Required two years of production, the present model allows wearers to play three-player Texas Hold'em on the mechanical wristwatch itself. Four concentric spinning disks printed with playing card faces are able to represent a total of 98,304 combinations. Pressing the pusher at 9'o'clock will start the game, at the same time the striking hammer chimes the cathedral gong, making an extravagant and soothing tone. The pusher at 10 o'clock is then employed to reveal the flop, and the pusher at 8 o'clock is used to uncover, in sequence, the player and river cards.
On the back is a roulette wheel that uses an arrow inlaid on an internal flange to indicate where the roulette lands on, rather than a ball.
The present watch case is made of black PVD coated titanium, offering a light, stylish and interactive appearance. Offering as brand new condition, it is a timepiece for casino lovers and collectors to admire Christophe Claret's innovative watchmaking mystery.
