First launched in 2013, Bvlgari found a new way to express the inexhaustible prosperity of colours, shapes and compositions inspired by nature through the heart of a collection of complicated watches, the GIARDINO DI BVLGARI collection. The dial of this collection express the exotic charm of a tropical garden, crafted using the techniques of champlevé, miniature painting, mother-of-pearl or stone, marquetry and gem setting. The present example portrays an underwater Garden of Eden composed with iridescent coloured coral, starfish and fish. The fish and starfish are reproduced in turquoise, coral and mother-of-pearl, giving life to the dial along with the diamond-set corals. The self-winding tourbillon movement is visible through the circular opening in-between the corals and beneath the fishes. The rotating tourbillon and the colourfully decorated dial gives the wearer an artistic yet mechanical masterpiece to admire. Due to the complex process and the skills required to craft this unique timepiece, it is limited to only 50 worldwide. Complete with a full set, the present example is in like-pristine condition and an extraordinary timepiece for those who appreciate artistry.
