The Brand Franck Muller was established in 1991 in Geneva, named after its co-founder and watchmaker Franck Muller, also know as the "Master of Complications", and Vartan Sirmakes, a businessman specialised in the manufacturing of watchcases. Franck Muller is renowned worldwide for its original designs, technical know-how and brilliant innovations in high-end watchmaking.

In addition to the brand's famous Long Island and Vanguard Series, Franck Muller introduced the round series with the Double Mystery and the Double Mystery Quatre Saisons, the flagship model of the collection. This Double Mystery creation reaffirms Franck Muller's mastery of the watchmaking art in its purest tradition by using a smart complication that replace hands with markers on two rotating discs, creating an illusion of floating time. The dial further enhanced by full pavé-set of diamonds and coloured diamond/sapphire hour markers for the sparkling sensation. (as presented in Lot 837 and 838). The Double Mystery Quatre Saisons uses multi-coloured gems to represent and create a kaleidoscopic appeal of the nature's four changing seasons colours (as seen in Lot 839). The pure and beautiful design of this exquisite Double Mystery articulates Franck Muller's vision of horology creativity and elegancy.
