Provenance: The Seraphim, Hugh Stuart Boyd, mentor to the young Elizabeth Barrett Browning, presentation inscription to Ellen Jane Smith on his behalf. Two Poems, Maurice Buxton Foreman, bookplate. Maurice has been posthumously implicated as a party to his father and T.J. Wise's literary counterfeit schemes, which included the use of the format of (presumably) the present copy of Two Poems for their forgeries.
