A TIANHUANG 'LANDSCAPE' SEAL

The lustrous caramel-yellow stone carved around the sides with wutong trees and pavilion beside water, all amidst craggy rocks, the seal face carved with the characters '閒居' (xianju 'leading a quiet life'), box. 6.3cm (2 1/2in) high, 56g. (2).

Compare with a related tianhuang seal in the National Palace Museum, Taipei, with similar carving and form, acc.no.zhongza000101. Compare also with a tianhuang seal carved with a landscape, late Qing Dynasty, which was sold at Christie's Hong Kong, 30 May 2018, lot 3145.
方料，頂部隨形，四面雕通景山崖、青桐、垂柳，垂柳一側雕一水榭，水榭中二高士憑欄，水榭之下，略施淺刀，隱約可見水波，石料中可見蘿蔔筋，黃熟透潤。
台北故宮藏一件清代雕山水田黃章料，取形及刀法與本件相似，可資參考，館藏編號中雜000101。參考一件清晚期田黃方章，售於香港佳士得，2018年5月30日，拍品編號3145。
