Movement: 17-jewel Lemania Cal.1345 automatic, No.4227240
Dial: Sunburst silvered, applied baton quarters, raised outer minute divisions with Arabic five minute markers, 5 apertures in arc between 10 and 2 containing blue and orange discs serving as 10 minute countdown timer, black pointed baton hands with luminous inserts, orange centre chronograph hand
Case: Brushed and polished tonneau form, screw down back, 12 gilt screws to bezel, countdown button at 2, shouldered screw down crown
Strap/Bracelet: Fitted brushed screw link
Buckle/Clasp: Signed folding clasp
Signed: Case & dial, movement signed Lemania
Size: 40mm

Footnotes

An important feature for any watch designed with competition sailing in mind is a minute countdown timer to the start of the race.

In November 1964 Aquastar received a Swiss patent for a "piece of horology allowing the counting of a restricted number of minutes" and in 1965 Heuer became the distributors for Aquastar watches which included a model called the Regate, featuring apertures in the dial that change colour as a 10 minute countdown takes place. Around 1976 Heuer began producing their own model with the complication and much improved movement, followed by a complete redesign in 1983 featuring the Autavia style case.
