Footnotes
Gerald Genta, hailed by many as the greatest watch designer of all time created the predecessor to this model in 1972. The industry's first sports wristwatch in stainless steel with an integral bracelet that cost the same as a gold timepiece. With its porthole inspired bezel, this icon has stood the test of time and kept its aesthetic with only minor tweaks over the decades.
In 2012, the 15400ST was launched with a new 41mm case. It has become a must have for many complete collections. The present lot with its blue dial, is among the most sought-after versions. The single owner timepiece is a truly magnificent example.
