TIFFANY & CO., NEW YORK. A FINE ENAMEL PANELED REPEATING CARRIAGE CLOCK WITH ALARM
Inscribed "Exposition 1900." Made for the Paris Exposition of 1900.
Movement: Silvered platform lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, flat spring, striking the hour and half hour and repeating the hour on a gong, separately wound alarm with setting enamel setting dial on the back plate
Dial: Gilt ring with center pierced and engraved with reeds, Arabic chapters, pierced blued hands
Case: Side and front panels enameled on silver with sunrise over reeds in a lake, enclosed by pierced and engraved mask depicting swans swimming among reeds, scroll and ringed bar handle, molded cornice supported by ringed corner columns
Size: 6 ½ in. (16.5cm) high including handle
