A pair of Meissen figures of dancers, circa 1750-55

Wearing matching costumes, the gentleman wearing a lavender jacket with green lapels and a purple sash over his left shoulder, pale-yellow waistcoat with flowers and a blue sash, puce breeches with yellow ribbons and yellow shoes with puce ribbons, holding his tricorn with feathers in the right hand, the lady wearing a pale-blue bodice, green ribbons on her sleeves, a blue-edged yellow apron with flowers and a puce skirt edged in yellow, the bases modelled with gilt-edged scrollwork and applied with leaves and flowers, 13.5cm high, crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue to rear of bases (some restoration to extremeties) (2)
