A later-decorated Meissen 'Cris de Paris' figure of a poultry cook, the porcelain circa 1755

Modelled by P. Reinicke, plucking a chicken standing by a tall basket full of feathers, wearing a white hat, purple waistcoat with gilt buttons, white apron and green breeches, the scroll-moulded base edged in gilding and applied with leaves,
13.5cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue to rear of base, incised 28 (tiny chips, minor restoration to chicken's tail and tip of his dagger)
