A Meissen 'Cris de Paris' figure of a cook, circa 1755

Modelled by P. Reinicke, standing holding a pan over a stove, with his right forefinger in his mouth, wearing a white hat and apron, purple tunic with gilt buttons and pale-yellow breeches, the base moulded with gilt-edged scrollwork and applied with leaves, 14cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue and impressed numeral to rear of base (one corner of apron restored)
