A Meissen 'Cris de Paris' figure of a poultry chef, circa 1755

Modelled by Peter Reinicke, wearing a white cap, shirt and apron over pale lilac breeches and plucking a chicken, a basket with feathers beside him, the base moulded with gilt-edged scrollwork and applied with leaves, 13.5cm high (head restuck)
