A later-decorated Meissen 'Cris de Paris' figure of a hurdy gurdy player, the porcelain circa 1755

Modelled by P. Reinicke, wearing a white headscarf, brown tunic, purple-lined green apron and yellow skirt, the base moulded with gilt-edged scrollwork and applied with flowers and leaves, 13.8cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue to rear of base, impressed 23 (neck of instrument restored)
