A later-decorated Meissen 'Cris de Paris' figure of a pastry seller, the porcelain circa 1755

Modelled by Peter Reinicke, wearing a pale yellow headscarf, pink bodice, pale yellow apron and white skirt with indianische Blumen, holding a basket of baked goods in her right hand, the base moulded with gilt-edged scrollwork and applied with leaves, 13.5cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue to the rear of the base, impressed 16 (tiny chip to edge of base)
