A rare Meissen 'Cris de Paris' figure of a vinegar seller, circa 1755

Modelled by P. Reinicke, pushing a barrel on a barrow with a funnel and a jug hung from the side, wearing a white cap hat with purple stripes, a puce jacket with yellow collar, green apron and pale-green breeches, the base moulded with gilt-edged scrollwork and applied with leaves and flowers, 13.8cm high, faint crossed swords mark in blue (some restoration to front of barrow and to funnel, to tips of handles and minor restoration to fingers)
