A Meissen later-decorated figure of a gentleman with a hound, the porcelain circa 1760

Modelled by J.F. Eberlein with the gentleman seated on scrollwork edged in gilding, wearing an elegant puce patterned jacket with green cuffs, a floral gilt waistcoat and blue breeches, a hound jumping up to his raised hand, the base moulded with gilt-edged scrollwork and applied with leaves and flowers, 18.4cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue to the rear of the base (restoration to cuff and scrollwork tip)
