Appeal to the Great Spirit, Cyrus Dallin's fourth equestrian subject in his iconic cycle of the American Indian, was cast in three sizes by Gorham Founders, including 283 casts in the present work's smallest size. According to the Gorham Founders ledgers, the present work #155 was shipped to Boston retailer Bigelow Kennard & Co. on September 15, 1924.
