A large collection of upwards of 450 "panoramic" views of North Africa, India, Middle East, Mexico, North and South Europe, Europe and elsewhere, mostly gelatin silver prints, some albumen, mostly loose, some mounted in albums, various sizes (typically 90 x 285mm., or 175 x 160mm., several larger on 2 or 3 sections joined), early twentieth century (quantity)

A good archive of panoramic views, mostly taken by private individuals using Kodak 'Panoram' cameras (or similar) during tours of the World during the early twentieth century, most often showing vibrant street life, scenic views of lesser-known beauty spots, from perspectives not usually reflected in the pictures sold by the commercial photography studios. Images range from an album of views in Mexico (c.40, including scenes on the Mexican National Railroad, blind musicians at Guadalajara, bull fighting at Guadalupe); a 2-part panorama of the interior of a draughtsman's office in Zanzibar, total dimensions 185 x 365mm. by "G. Gomes & Sons, Photographers, Zanzibar"; Nineteenth century albumen panorama of Valletta, Malta from the sea, 5 sheets joined, backed with linen, 180 x 1510mm.; Views in Morocco and Algeria (30); street scenes in India (4).
