Large and Impressive Black Crystal Opal

A large oval cabochon of crystal opal displaying considerable heft and proportions; the body color is a medium to deep orange when held to transmitted light but presents itself as a black crystal opal. The play-of-fire is exceptional with extensive rolling flash of vivid green and blue. A fine stone for the collector and a scarcity in today's market. Weighing approximately 43.85 carats and measuring 27.86 x 24.16 x 10.08mm
