Urwerk was founded in 1997 with the aim to follow nobody but to create their own path in pushing the boundaries of horology ever further. And their creation UR-103 at the Basel fair in 2003 hit the watch world like a bombshell. The streamline case houses an innovative orbital satellite indication. Four hour discs on the dial, each of them turns into a new numeral when they reach the 60th minutes in the minute arc at the bottom of the dial. And at the same time, the next hour presented by another disc starts at the other end of the arc simultaneously. From a technical point of view, it is total success to create such a cutting-edge complication. Furthermore, it offered a new way of reading time with a very readable manner. The present example is a special edition of UR-103 cased in pink gold, making it an even rarer opportunity to obtain an iconic characteristic in horology.
