A Queen Anne burr and figured walnut and featherbanded bureau cabinet

1710-1715, in three sections, the ogee moulded cornice and cavetto frieze above a pair of arched re-entrant panel moulded doors, each inset with bevelled glass cut to the top with a central compass star, enclosing two adjustable shelves over five short drawers, with candle slides below, the hinged fall applied with a reading rest moulding, enclosing five short drawers, two secret drawers, a well with a sliding top and a writing surface, above two short drawers and two long graduated drawers, on bun feet, 104cm wide x 61cm deep x 211cm high, (40 1/2in wide x 24in deep x 83in high)
