此幅雲山清秀，秋樹蕭踈，竹間有屋，高士靜坐，令見者塵心頓消。非龔翁，誰能至此妙乎？甲辰（1904）新正，題籖並識，香谷叔。
款識：
高臥此中堪白首，不知人世有紅塵。龔賢作。

編號110號，谿山高隱圖，龔賢筆一幅，兵庫縣吉田金之介氏藏。
水越成章書函：
龔半千賢掃除谿徑，獨出幽異，自謂前無古人，後無來者。但墨太濃重，沉雄深厚中無清踈秀逸之趣。余昔見一小幀，筆墨極淡逸，與習見者不同，知此老之畫非一味濃重也。半千，崑山人，流寓金陵，結盧於清涼山下，葺半畝園，栽花蒔竹，悠然自得。性孤僻，與人落落難合。詩文不敢苟作，嘔心扶髓而後成，惟恐一字落人後。所著畫訣，言近旨，遠精確，不磨初學，最宜探討。與樊圻、高岑、鄒喆、吴宏、葉欣、胡造、謝蓀為金陵八家。右秦祖永〈桐陰論畫〉所載，抄出以充參照。戊午（1918）之秋，耕南老人。

註：題內匣者村田香谷(1831-1912)，幼承家學，乃日本明治時代關西畫壇著名畫家、鑑賞家。曾三度來華。
匣內鑒賞書出水越成章（1849-1933），號耕南，又號裁之，播磨（今兵庫縣）人。日本著名詩人、漢學家。存世有《薇山摘葩》兩卷、《遊箕面山詩》一卷、《皇朝百家絕句》三卷、《唐宋詩話纂》一卷等。尤以所編《翰墨因緣》兩卷著名，明治十七年（1884）刊行，內收晚清中國文人並駐日外交官如黃遵憲等二十五人的詩文尺牘，凡詩一百九十首，函五十五封，為瞭解光緒初中日兩國文人交遊的第一手資料。
