内匣:
此幅雲山清秀,秋樹蕭踈,竹間有屋,高士靜坐,令見者塵心頓消。非龔翁,誰能至此妙乎?甲辰(1904)新正,題籖並識,香谷叔。

款識:
高臥此中堪白首,不知人世有紅塵。龔賢作。

編號110號,谿山高隱圖,龔賢筆一幅,兵庫縣吉田金之介氏藏。

水越成章書函:
龔半千賢掃除谿徑,獨出幽異,自謂前無古人,後無來者。但墨太濃重,沉雄深厚中無清踈秀逸之趣。余昔見一小幀,筆墨極淡逸,與習見者不同,知此老之畫非一味濃重也。半千,崑山人,流寓金陵,結盧於清涼山下,葺半畝園,栽花蒔竹,悠然自得。性孤僻,與人落落難合。詩文不敢苟作,嘔心扶髓而後成,惟恐一字落人後。所著畫訣,言近旨,遠精確,不磨初學,最宜探討。與樊圻、高岑、鄒喆、吴宏、葉欣、胡造、謝蓀為金陵八家。右秦祖永〈桐陰論畫〉所載,抄出以充參照。戊午(1918)之秋,耕南老人。

註:題內匣者村田香谷(1831-1912),幼承家學,乃日本明治時代關西畫壇著名畫家、鑑賞家。曾三度來華。
匣內鑒賞書出水越成章(1849-1933),號耕南,又號裁之,播磨(今兵庫縣)人。日本著名詩人、漢學家。存世有《薇山摘葩》兩卷、《遊箕面山詩》一卷、《皇朝百家絕句》三卷、《唐宋詩話纂》一卷等。尤以所編《翰墨因緣》兩卷著名,明治十七年(1884)刊行,內收晚清中國文人並駐日外交官如黃遵憲等二十五人的詩文尺牘,凡詩一百九十首,函五十五封,為瞭解光緒初中日兩國文人交遊的第一手資料。
