南無觀世音菩薩。乙酉（1945）秋九月，篆香閣主吳青霞敬寫。

鈐印：吳氏、青霞

註：吳青霞以畫鯉魚和蘆雁知名，仕女人物亦精絕。其人物畫取法高古，上溯唐宋，她曾反復臨摹唐代仕女畫和李公麟的人物，亦步武唐寅、仇英諸家，故其筆下仕女清健大方，不似近世流行之嬌弱態。是幅中觀音細目圓臉，端莊豐腴，蔚為唐人氣象，衣飾、髮冠、線條、敷色皆見敦煌壁畫影響。
吳青霞成名頗早，上世紀三十年代即於上海嶄露頭角，與張大千等名家往還，大千曾讚她「畫風老辣，出手成熟」，觀是幅知其所言不虛，而取徑敦煌壁畫，是否亦緣於大千對敦煌藝術的發揚？
