Tapering sides with double scroll handle, later engraved crest to front over a previous script engraving for JOHNSTON family, underside with scratch weight '7=15=12', gilded interior, height 11.7cm, weight 7.4oz.

Footnotes

The crest was used by a number of JOHNSTON families in Ireland in the period from the late seventeenth century. Notably the family of JOHNSTON from Holly Park, Co. Down from whom many later JOHNSTON family lines in Ireland are descended.
