Three shawls

Early 19th century
Including a cashmere shawl that once belonged to Julie Clary, the delicate cream ground with beautiful multicoloured floral motifs on the shorter ends, lotus flowers, boteh (paisley motifs) and acanthus leaves along the border, the darker example with colourful paisley border in red, blue and green and the other on red woollen ground with delicate sinuous stems, spiralling tendrils and open flowers, the second with later alterations, (284cm x 129cm) (165cm x 160cm) (138.5cm x 123.5cm) (3)
