Footnotes
When Rolex ceased production of the famous "Double Red" Sea-Dweller in 1977, the new ref.1665 was given the moniker "Great White" for its all white text, and a cheeky homage to sharks. The model no longer featured the words "Submariner 2000" which marked a separation between the Sea-Dweller and Submariner models. This lot, an early example of the 1665, has a Mark I dial.
