The blue wool surcoat decorated with white epaulettes across the shoulders decorated with cloud and floral roundel roundels highlighted with orange silk stitching, the lapels with silk brocade with floral vines in silver and purple and the edges finished in silk piping, the reverse with a white felt appliqué Hosokawa family crest, the cotton lining decorated with floral patterns
