Literature
Fargue, Banalité: Illustré de Réogrammes et Recherches d'Objects de Loris et Parry, Editions de la Nouvelle Revue Française, Paris, 1930
Banalité is perhaps one of the most significant collaborations of word and image in the realm of illustrated Surrealist books, combining Leon-Paul Fargue's previously-published 1922 volume of prose and poems with sixteen, full-page images (then a new development) by the noted French photographer and cinematographer Roger Parry. This very rare silver print was originally in the collection of Madeline Parry, wife of the artist.
