The present lots was a diplomatic gift from the Swedish government to the newly installed Uruguayan Ambassador to Sweden on the occasion of his taking the post in 1954.
The works were possibly executed as part of the Venini exhibition that was held at the Nordiska Kompaniet department store in Stockholm, 1953.
