A pale celadon jade 'lotus' bowl and reticulated cover

Qianlong seal mark, Qing dynasty, 19th/20th century
The deep rounded sides rising from a stepped foot to a gently flaring rim, carved in high relief with a register of blossoming lotus scroll between a band of lappets below and a band of ruyi heads above, the scrolling lotus repeated in openwork on the cover beneath a band of classic scroll, the base and cover each carved with a six-character seal mark, the stone a whitish pale celadon tone.
6in (15.2cm) diam.
