produced for Fritz Lang's masterpiece Metropolis, containing statements from the producer, cast and principal crew, with articles and illustrations of the making of the film including the acclaimed flooding sequence, the cover art taken from the original German poster, depicting 'Mary' wearing a robotic headpiece, 9 3/4in x 7 1/2in (25cm x 19cm)

Metropolis is the German expressionist science-fiction epic directed by Fritz Lang, and written by Thea von Harbou in collaboration with Lang. The silent film is regarded as a pioneering work of science-fiction, being among the first feature-length movies of this genre. The UK Premiere in 1927 had a runtime of 128 minutes, a full 25 minutes shorter than the original version first shown in Germany.
