Footnotes

Copenhagen was written by Michael Frayn and dramatizes a meeting between Niels Bohr and Werner Heisenberg, set in Copenhagen, 1941. After a successful run at the National Theatre, London, the production had its premiere at Broadway's Royal Theatre on the 11th April 2000. The play ran for over 300 performances, and won the Tony Awards® for best Play, Best Direction (Michael Blakemore), and Best Featured Actress (Blair Brown). The Tony Award® trophy was subsequently displayed in the office of Sir Michael Codron at the Aldwych Theatre, London.
