Two Meissen circular stands, circa 1725-30

Each with a circular medallion in the centre of chrysanthemum heads reserved against an iron-red foliate ground, enclosed by a broad band of gilt and Böttger-lustre scroll- and strapwork enclosing diamond-shaped trellis panels, the rims with four shaped oval panels painted with chinoiserie scenes, each within a gilt scrollwork cartouche filled with Böttger lustre and edged with purple and iron-red scrollwork, separated by oval gilt and Böttger-lustre medallions enclosed by foliate scrollwork, the reverse with branches of indianische Blumen, 21.7cm diam., crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue (minor stacking wear to gilding) (2)
