A Meissen group emblematic of 'Taste', circa 1760

Modelled by Carl Christoph Punct, as an elegantly-dressed couple, the lady holding a goblet with grapes gathered in her apron, her companion seated on a leafy tree-stump pouring wine, with a basket containing two bottles at his feet, the pierced, gilt-edged scrollwork base applied with leaves and flowers, 20cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue (some restoration)
