A Meissen 'Cris de Paris' figure of a spirits seller, circa 1754

Modelled by Peter Reinicke, wearing a black tricorn, a yellow cloak, pink waistcoat and green breeches, holding a basket with bottles on his left arm and a lantern in his right hand, the base moulded with gilt-edged scrollwork and applied with leaves and flowers, 14.5cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue to the rear of the base, impressed numeral 17 (minor restoration to back of hat brim)
