A Meissen "Cris de Paris" figure of a vegetable seller, circa 1755

Modelled by Peter Reinicke, holding a bucket filled with leaves in her left hand and a leafy vegetable in the right hand, wearing a bonnet with flaps, a puce bodice, flower-decorated dress, white apron with a knofe hanging to the right side, on a gilt-edged, scroll-moulded base applied with leaves and flowers, 14cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue to rear of base, incised 5 (head restuck, some restoration to extremities)
