A Meissen gilt-metal mounted scent bottle, circa 1730

In the form of a pilgrim flask with female masks, painted with chinoiserie scenes of figures engaged at various pursuits, details heightened in gilding, above moulded gilt gadrooning, an iron-red scrollwork border around the neck, the foot and neck with gilt-metal mounts, in a fitted leather case, 8cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue (reduced neck under gilt metal mount)
