A Sèvres cup and associated saucer (gobelet lizonné à relief), dated 1757 and 1759

Moulded with prunus branches in high relief, interspersed with blue floral sprigs, the rims with gilt dentil borders, the cup: 7.2cm high, the saucer: 14.1cm diam., interlaced LL monogram in blue enclosing date letter D (cup) and date letter F (saucer), painters' marks for Antoine Buteux to cup and Charles-Louis Méreaud to saucer, unidentified painter's mark H to saucer, incised fd (fine haircrack to cup rim) (2)
