An interesting late 19th century engraved gilt brass travelling timepiece

The 11cms signed circular dial with Roman numerals enclosed by a minute track, the XII intersected by the large Arabic seconds ring marked in 10s, with original three blued steel hands under a heavy bevelled glass and knurled edge, the shaped suspension loop set on facetted shoulders fully engraved with panels of scrollwork, the rear cover fully engraved with a lion's mask and two male caricatures in profile, each with distinctive facial features and flowing hair, with apertures for hand setting and winding the 8-day movement with shaped backplate, the cut and compensated bimetallic balance set on an engraved cock to a blued steel hairspring and an English style lever escapement. 19cms (7inches) high
