A FINE AND RARE mid 19th century ENGRAVED GILT brass CARRIAGE TIMEPIECE

Dent, Watch Maker to the Queen, No.374
The chased handle with C-scroll terminals over an engine turned top panel framed in foliate engraving, the sides matching and the rear door centred by an elaborate floral group, set between concave pillars ball finials and a shaped base, the silvered rectangular Roman dial with original blued steel hands and engraved with flowers and scrolls, the movement united by four screwed pillars, chain fusee to a lever platform escapement with cut and compensated bimetallic balance, the back and front plates numbered 374. Ticking.
